Jun 29, 2021
AKWESASNE — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Council announced that registration is now open for the July 2021 Tribal Monthly Meeting. The registration process allows for verification of tribal enrollment, as monthly tribal meetings are intended for membership only.
The next tribal meeting is being chaired by Tribal Chief Michael Conners and will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 beginning at 10:00 a.m. The next meeting will be a hybrid meeting, which will allow tribal members to attend virtually or in-person.
The July Tribal Monthly Meeting includes the following agenda topics: Review of Action Items, New Business, COVID-19 Update by EOC and Health Services, SRMT Housing Development Update, American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Funds Update, Adult Use Cannabis Ordinance Update, and Announcements.
Limited seating is available due to social distancing requirements, so tribal members who choose to attend in person are asked to RSVP by calling Office of the Tribal Council at (518) 358-2272. The meeting will be held in the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino’s banquet room. Please see the attached map for parking accommodations for tribal elders.
Those who choose to participate virtually must complete registration BEFORE 4:00 p.m. on July 9th to ensure you do not experience a delay in joining the meeting. To register, please click the following link: https://bit.ly/35XCJXN.
Tribal members will be asked to provide their full name, six-digit tribal enrollment number, phone number, and email address to receive the webinar link. Registrants are prompted to list any additional tribal members that will be present with them for the monthly tribal meeting.
Tribal members can submit any questions or comments for the monthly tribal meeting during the registration process. Tribal members may also submit questions or comments by emailing them to meetings@srmt-nsn.gov, or pose them during the meeting. All questions will be answered in the order that they are received.
The monthly tribal meeting agenda package and presentations will be available on the Tribal Members Portal, which is accessible at www.srmt-nsn.gov. A video tutorial is provided to help with logging onto the portal.
